Brandenburg Labs Recap 2022
2022 has been a fantastic year for our company, Brandenburg Labs. We have been working on several major projects this year, and our company has grown immensely. Hence, we are proud of everything we have accomplished so far and excited about what the future holds. Let’s take a look back at some of our main highlights this year before the new year arrives. We hope you enjoy reading through them!
First and foremost, as we embark on this journey, we would like to express our deepest appreciation to all our partners and the entire BLS team who are contributing to the company’s vision of creating the perfect lifelike audio experience over headphones. Here is to a successful year yet to come!

3rd Anniversary of the Company
Among many of the milestones we have achieved so far, the exceptional one is that this year marked the third anniversary of our company. As hard as it is to believe that we already celebrated the day, it feels like we were just getting started only yesterday. But in those three short years, we’ve accomplished a lot. We used the special anniversary occasion to reflect on our company’s journey. We’ve come a long way and are excited to see what the next years bring!
Third Anniversary Celebration – 2022
As we look to the new year, we are preparing for a financing round and engaging with more publicly funded research projects. Our goal is to continue to build on our strong foundations and create even more value for our incoming products and stakeholders.
Public Funded Project – MULTIPARTIES
Among the projects we have been working on the past couple of years, we launched a joint research project this year, “MULTIPARTIES – Multi-Party Augmented Reality Telepresence System” together with plazz AG, Consensive GmbH, and TU Ilmenau. The German Government funds this joint project as part of “KMU-innovativ: Interaktive Technologien für Gesundheit und Lebensqualität.” which is expected to be completed in two and a half years.

The project aims to overcome the limitations of current teleconferencing and enable spatially separated people to have more natural conversations online using augmented reality (AR). For this, realistic 3D avatars of people with expressive gestures and facial expressions, as well as spatially plausible audio, are seamlessly integrated into the real environment of the system’s users. Demos at Exhibitions
Additionally, we have been able to present our immersive audio demo on three continents, including Europe, multiple forums, and conferences to hundreds of people both from and outside of the audio technology field. The feedback we have received from our listeners proved that we are able to immerse listeners in a lifelike augmented audio experience through our demo. In the coming year, we are planning on demo tours again, presenting our immersive audio demo to the world and offering listeners truly immersive sound adventures. Our first destination is DAGA2023 which will be held in Hamburg, Germany, from the 6th – the 9th of March.
