Brandenburg Labs had the pleasure of participating in the 5th MikroForum 2024, held from May 23-24 in Karlsruhe, Germany, the home of Schoeps Mikrofone.
Schoeps organized the forum in collaboration with the Audio Engineering Society (AES) and The German Association for Audio Professionals (VDT). The forum creates a venue for presentations and workshops on microphone recording technology and music recording, 3D audio, and film sound topics.
Held at the Karlsburg in Karlsruhe-Durlach, the two-day event was filled with presentations, demos, workshops, and exhibitions. This year’s MikroForum featured a diverse array of companies and welcomed several invited experts and established audio engineers who shared their extraordinary work with the audience.
We showcased the latest version of our lifelike immersive audio demo during the event. Visitors had the opportunity to experience our 16-channel lifelike immersive audio demo and we are immensely grateful for the invaluable feedback received from fellow audio enthusiasts. We especially want to thank Lasse Nipkow for contributing audio content for our demo.
Additionally, we had the incredible opportunity to tour the Schoeps factory. It was an amazing experience that offered deep insights into their production process.
One of the highlights was the delightful get-together organized by AES Germany, featuring dinner, drinks, and engaging discussions with colleagues. The evening continued with live music from the Jazzclub Karlsruhe, where “The News” (Silvia Dias, Marcus Zimmermann, Sascha Neuhardt, and Marcel Millot) performed covers of various genres. The vibrant atmosphere had us dancing and enjoying the night.
We enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones, while engaging in the intriguing workshops, presentations, and discussions.
Finally, we would like to thank the event organizers for allowing us to showcase our technology and facilitating connections with other industry professionals. The conference served as an enriching platform for us to engage with like-minded professionals, and our team departed with invaluable insights drawn from the intriguing sessions and discussions.
