We had an incredible time at the AES 6th International Conference on Audio for Games in Tokyo last week! As a Silver sponsor of the conference, Brandenburg Labs was thrilled to be part of such an event hosted at the Senju Campus, Tokyo University of the Arts, from April 27th to April 29th, 2024.
The conference was packed with various educational programs for engineers in Gaming, aiming to “explore the fundamental nature of interactive sound expressions that have been passed down from the past and propose innovations that connect the present and future.”
On the first day our Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Nils Merten, chaired a fascinating session on Titled “A Two-Channel Transaural Reproduction System in a Compact Single Box with Back-to-Back Speaker Drivers,” the session introduced a novel back-to-back transaural (BB) reproduction system designed to elevate the immersive audio experience for gaming as well as VR/AR applications.
Amidst the intellectual exchange, the banquet, on the first night, provided a perfect setting for networking opportunities, where attendees indulged in authentic Japanese cuisine while forging valuable connections with fellow sponsors and industry peers.
Moreover, we showcased the latest version of our lifelike immersive audio demo during the event. Visitors had the opportunity to experience our 16-channel lifelike immersive audio demo and we are immensely grateful for the invaluable feedback received from fellow audio enthusiasts.
Finally, we would like to thank the event organizer, the Audio Engineering Society, for allowing us to showcase our technology on an international stage and facilitating connections with other industry professionals. The conference served as an enriching platform for us to engage with like-minded professionals, and our team departed with invaluable insights drawn from the intriguing sessions and discussions.
