DAS/DAGA 2025 Recap

2025-04-01

Brandenburg Labs joined the 51st Annual Meeting on Acoustics DAS/DAGA 2025 held from March 17-20 at Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was the first joint annual meeting of the German and Danish Acoustical Societies, bringing together audio technology experts from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Italy and Denmark. DAS/DAGA 2025 was an excellent opportunity to expand our network in the audio research community and to present our Deep Dive Audio technology.

The program included scientific lectures, colloquia, meetings, exhibitions, workshops, professional exchange and creative interactions. On Wednesday, March 19, our CEO, Karlheinz Brandenburg, held a presentation titled “First experiment on how to blend playback recording rooms in headphone-based reproduction of multichannel sound”. The talk gave insights about the challenges faced if it is required to reproduce room acoustics for plausible immersive audio which differ to the listening room you are currently inside. This can be the case if e.g. a producer likes to master a music project including the acoustics of the recording environment inside the mixing studio.

During the event we showcased the latest version of our immersive audio demo during the event. Visitors had the opportunity to experience our 16-channel lifelike immersive audio demo which delivers the first truly lifelike immersive audio experience over headphones. Once more we were pleased by the overall positive feedback we received from the impressed demo listeners.

Apart from technical discussions, it was a pleasure to meet old friends and make new contacts during the DAS /DAGA supporting program including social gatherings, with delicious foods and drinks and a wide range of professional exchanges in a relaxed atmosphere.

We would like to thank the event organizer DAS/ DAGA, for allowing us to showcase our technology and facilitating connections with other industry professionals. The conference served as an enriching platform for us to engage with like-minded professionals, and our team departed with invaluable insights drawn from the intriguing sessions and discussions.
