Multichannel Sound Over Headphones Like Never Before
Brandenburg Labs will exhibit at the South by Southwest event (SXSW), taking place in Austin, Texas in March 2025. Visitors of this globally renowned festival for music, film and interactive media will have the chance to experience the first truly immersive audio experience via headphones from March 9th until 12th. In recognition of its groundbreaking technology, Brandenburg Labs has been named as one of the five finalists for the SXSW Innovation Award in the audio experience category.
With its debut at SXSW 2025, Brandenburg Labs is bringing its first product, Okeanos Pro, to a broader audience. Okeanos Pro is an advanced headphone system that delivers an unparalleled listening experience for professionals. It offers a versatile and high-quality solution, simplifying multichannel mixing by eliminating the need for traditional physical speaker setups.
The system will be demoed at SXSW 2025 with a listening comparison between real loudspeakers and the virtual version of the loudspeakers played back over the Brandenburg Labs Audio AR headphone system. Listeners will immerse themselves in spatial audio music to explore the acoustic environment and experience how the sound adapts dynamically while they move.
Okeanos Pro was launched in autumn 2024 and was recently successfully installed at first customers in Germany, the USA, Switzerland, Japan and Belgium. “Following the extremely positive feedback we got from our early customers and audio experts around the globe, we are now focused on raising awareness for the new era in audio mixing and education that Okeanos Pro offers to music studios and research institutions globally.
