Karlheinz Brandenburg named Ambassador for Thüringer Bogen

Thüringer Bogen is the newly established regional brand of the districts Ilm-Kreis and Gotha. The districts have Thuringia’s most powerful economy, being home to many attractive and innovative companies. Nevertheless, the brand also embodies the attractive conditions for living and working in the region, with outstanding career perspectives and open space for families and nature and culture enthusiasts. The new ambassadors dedicate themselves to spreading the word about the region’s economic power and quality of life within their networks and even beyond them.

On September 27th, the county administrators Petra Enders and Onno Eckert announced the eight ambassadors from the economy, culture, and society on the Veste Wachsenburg, a well-known medieval castle in Thuringia.

Our CEO, Karlheinz Brandenburg, is honored to be an ambassador: “For me, Thuringia and the Thüringer Bogen, in particular, are the best combination of Germany’s historic heart and high technology, to which I personally like to contribute. In the 22 years that I have now lived in Thuringia, I have been able to meet many interesting and great people. Not least because of this, I have never regretted being involved in creating global beacons in research and development in Ilmenau for so many years. First at the Technische Universität Ilmenau and the Fraunhofer IDMT and now with my own company, Brandenburg Labs. These facilities exemplify Thuringia’s global importance in research and industry.”

In the future, the circle of ambassadors will meet regularly to exchange ideas and experiences to strengthen the brand and its impact in the districts.
