Event Recap 2025

2025-12-12

As we bid farewell to the year 2025, we reflect on the beautiful moments it brought our team. With the arrival of the new year, we cherish the memories of numerous great connections, new experiences, and valuable partnerships that enriched our journey. Throughout this remarkable year, we actively participated in international conferences, conventions, and pitch competitions, contributing significantly to our success and exposure. From our debut at SXSW to scientific conferences, seminars, and exclusive industry events, we showcased Okeanos Pro and our Deep Dive Audio technology to global audiences.

In case you haven’t been updated on our ventures in 2025, allow us to take a moment to recap some of the major events we were privileged to attend and our key takeaways.

SXSW 2025 – Austin, USA

Our 2025 event season kicked off with a major milestone: Brandenburg Labs’ first appearance as exhibitors at SXSW, and with it, a nomination as finalists for the SXSW Innovation Award in the Audio Experience category. While we didn’t take home the Innovation Award, being recognized as a finalist in the Audio Experience category was an honor in itself. This nomination placed us among the most forward-thinking companies in the industry, highlighting our commitment to pushing the boundaries of immersive sound technology.

Attendees of the SXSW Expo had the chance to experience Okeanos Pro firsthand and explore how our advanced system, that simulates virtual multi-channel loudspeaker systems through headphones with unparalleled realism. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing the impact of our innovation on the professional audio landscape.

DAS/DAGA 2025 – Copenhagen, Denmark

Just one week after SXSW, we headed to Copenhagen for the first joint annual meeting of the German and Danish Acoustical Societies. The event brought together leading audio technology experts from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Italy and Denmark, offering an excellent opportunity to expand our network in the audio research community and to present our Deep Dive Audio technology.

During the event we showcased the latest version of our immersive audio demo. Visitors had the opportunity to experience our 16-channel lifelike immersive audio demo which delivers the first truly lifelike immersive audio experience over headphones. Once more, we were pleased by the overall positive feedback we received from the impressed demo listeners. With a mix of scientific exchange, workshops, and warm social gatherings, the event offered a refreshing blend of research depth and community spirit.

3D Audio Seminar – Vienna, Austria

In April, we participated in the 3D Audio Seminar hosted by Lasse Nipkow and the Verband Deutscher Tonmeister at the historic ORF RadioKulturhaus. The two-day seminar brought together professionals passionate about spatial sound, offering deep dives into psychoacoustic principles, production workflows, and future audio technologies.

We presented both stereo and multichannel demos of our Deep Dive Audio technology, sparking dynamic discussions with experts and creators.  A standout moment was the 3D audio-visual demo of the New Year’s Concert Tänze by the Stradivari Orchestra, an 8k 360° video with head-tracked audio playback coming to life with our spatialization technology. Between inspiring sessions and a relaxed networking evening, Vienna offered an exceptional environment for sharing ideas and exploring what’s next for immersive audio.

AES International Conference on Headphone Technology – Espoo, Finland

We had an incredible time at the 2025 AES International Conference on Headphone Technology in Finland. This event gave us the chance to connect with headphone enthusiasts from all over the world and to showcase our groundbreaking product, Okeanos Pro.

For the first time, we brought along a demo of Okeanos Pro, where visitors could try out multichannel mixing with headphones on a digital audio workstation themselves. We received overwhelmingly positive and constructive feedback, which reinforced the impact of our innovation on the professional audio landscape and is very valuable for the further development of our deep dive audio technology.

Whether from companies or universities, we thoroughly enjoyed the professional discourse with other experts in the field of audio engineering. We are taking away new ideas and knowledge and look forward to continuing the exchange with the participants of the event.

Tonmeistertagung (TMT) – Düsseldorf, Germany

The 33rd Tonmeistertagung (TMT) offered insights into the latest technical solutions, demos, as well as networking opportunities. As exhibitors, we were honored to welcome several visitors to our booth and present our Okeanos system. Throughout the demos, we received excellent feedback and engaged in several in-depth discussions and insightful inputs on practical studio applications as well as future development of our technology.

We greatly appreciated the professional exchange with experts in audio engineering and fellow exhibitors. The TMT supporting program, with a relaxed social gathering atmosphere, offered a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends and establish new relationships/partnerships.

Didn’t have the chance to meet us at an event this year? No worries. Our journey continues in 2026, and we’re excited to share where you can find us next. Stay tuned for updates!
