Last week, we had the opportunity to attend DAGA 2026 in Dresden, one of Europe’s leading conferences in acoustics.
This year’s event offered a diverse program of technical sessions, poster presentations, exhibitions, and social events, creating an excellent platform for exchange between researchers, industry professionals, and innovators across the field.
We value staying closely connected to the latest research and developments in acoustics. Conferences like DAGA provide a valuable opportunity to remain up to date, gain new perspectives, and continuously evolve our work in line with industry advancements. At the same time, DAGA for us feels like a reunion, bringing together colleagues and friends from old times.
Throughout the conference, we explored new research and developments in areas such as binaural audio processing, virtual and augmented acoustics, and psychoacoustics. We also broadened our perspective by engaging with topics beyond our core expertise, including underwater acoustics, biomedical acoustics, numerical methods, and building acoustics. A particular highlight was the exhibition, where companies showcased their latest developments and products.
One of the memorable moments for our team was the excursion to Kraftwerk Mitte / Staatsoperette, where we experienced a behind-the-scenes look at how a historic industrial site has been transformed into a modern space for arts, culture, and creativity.
The social program also played an important role in fostering connections and networking within the community. A relaxed pub evening hosted by junge DEGA provided a welcoming start to the conference and set the tone for inspiring conversations. This was followed by a memorable organ concert at the Frauenkirche, with historical insights into the building, which was an especially atmospheric experience. The event also included a vibrant social evening at Alter Schlachthof, where music, discussions, and networking came together in a dynamic and engaging environment.
We’re already looking forward to bringing these insights into our work and to seeing everyone again at DAGA 2027 in Darmstadt.
