Last month, Brandenburg Labs was honored to participate in CES 2024 held in Las Vegas, USA. Marking our inaugural presence at this consumer electronics show, we showcased our groundbreaking Audio Augmented Reality headphone system, delivering a truly immersive audio experience. The demo at the Venetian Hotel suite received attention from a diverse audience, including journalists, press representatives, and audio enthusiasts. We are pleased to share that our debut at CES 2024 received a lot of attention by the media both in Germany and globally.
To mention some of the notable reviews, Adam Birney and Chase Bernath of SoundGuys visited our suite, providing an insightful review that characterized our technology as a “big step forward.” They emphasized how our innovation enhances realism and immersion in sound, pushing the boundaries of conventional headphone capabilities. “It’s making sound more realistic and immersive, pushing the boundaries of what we thought headphones could do.” Read the full article here and watch the YouTube video for their real-time reactions.
Tom’s Guide’s Nick Pino expressed similar sentiments, expressing awe at the near-indistinguishable difference between our virtual and real speaker sounds. “Brandenburg handed me a pair of wired headphones adorned by a Vive Tracker on top. I put them on, and he switched the audio from the five-channel speakers to the headphones — lo and behold, there was no difference.” He added, “What Brandenburg’s team proved with the demo is that you can improve on the spatial experience by augmenting it with positional data from a VR headset.” Read his insightful article here.
The German media outlet Welt’s journalist, Daniel Zwick, described our technology as “It is the perfect acoustic simulation of movement in the natural environment. So far, there was no such thing.” (directly translated from German) Explore more here.
Additionally, Heise Online, another German outlet, described their unparalleled listening experience during our demo, highlighting the remarkable illusion created by our headphones. “During the demonstration in Las Vegas, the headphones depicted two speakers, which were actually standing in the room. The effect was amazing: whether a piece was played over the speakers or through the headphones was practically indistinguishable.” (directly translated from German) You can read the whole article here.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all the visitors and members of the press who invested their time in experiencing our demo and generously shared their thoughts with their respective audiences. Your engagement and feedback are invaluable to us, and we appreciate your support in spreading awareness about our innovative technology showcased at CES 2024.
