Brandenburg Labs had an incredible time at the 2025 AES International Conference on Headphone Technology. This event gave us the chance to connect with headphone enthusiasts from all over the world and to showcase Okeanos Pro, our professional headphone-based system for multichannel audio mixing.

Our exhibition in the Palaver Room at Aalto University’s Dipoli building attracted a diverse crowd of audio engineers, educators and technology enthusiasts. For the first time, we brought along a demo of #Okeanos Pro, where visitors could try out multichannel mixing with headphones on a digital audio workstation themselves.
We received overwhelmingly positive and constructive feedback, which reinforced the impact of our innovation on the professional audio landscape and is very valuable for the further development of our deep dive audio technology.
Future of Headphones
Beyond the exhibition room our CEO, Dr. Karlheinz Brandenburg, captivated audiences with his talk about the “Future of Headphones Towards AI support and Immersive Listening”. He discussed what is important for an immersive listening experience via headphones and what we can expect from future AI-supported applications.
Whether from companies or universities, we thoroughly enjoyed the professional discourse with other experts in the field of audio engineering. We are taking away new ideas and knowledge and look forward to continuing the exchange with the participants of the event.
Apart from technical discussions, it was a pleasure to meet old friends and make new contacts during the AES Headphone Conference supporting program including social gatherings, with delicious foods and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.
